Bucs Score 5-2 Victory Over Indiana
March 18, 2006

Tonight at 95KGGO Arena the Des Moines Buccaneers defeated the Indiana Ice 5-2.  Tonight’s victory dead-locked the Buccaneers and the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders in first place in the Eastern Division with three games left in the regular season.

After a scoreless first period Indiana struck first on a power play goal by Ryan Peckskamp.  Trevor Lewis answered with two goals to give the Buccaneers a lead that they would never relinquish.  8:10 into the third period Colin Vock scored a short handed goal for the Buccaneers.  That goal set a USHL record for short handed goals in a season with 20.  Vock added another goal as did Andrew Olson.

Saturday March 25th at 7:30 the Buccaneers host the Waterloo Black Hawks in the regular season finale.  It is fan appreciation night and the Buccaneers players will skate with the fans following the game.
