Gamblers Down Bucs in Shootout
March 21, 2007
The Buccaneers suffered a 3-2 shootout loss at Green Bay on Tuesday night. It is the third straight overtime game for the Buccaneers. Forward Rich Purslow scored his 25th goal of the season (giving him 69 points) to move ahead of Jared Brown of Lincoln for the league lead in points. The Bucs' Andrew Olson tallied his 15th goal of the season to give the Bucs the lead in the third period. However, the Gamblers rallied to tie the game and force overtime. The Buccaneers were unable to take advantage of a power play in overtime. The shootout took eight rounds to settle the score as Gamblers goalie Adam Avramenko turned away all eight Buccaneers shooters. Green Bay's Michael Borisenok scored on his attempt to win the game for the Gamblers.
