The Des Moines Buccaneers defeated the Omaha Lancers in Game 1 of this best-of-seven series 4-2 last night at the MidAmerica Center. After a scoreless first period, the Buccaneers got two goals in the second from Andrew Olson and Andrew Blazek to take a 2-0 lead into the third period. Omaha came back with two goals of their own to tie the game. The Bucs held off the Lancers and got two more goals late in the game from Michael Dorr and Derek Elliott to get the win.

Game 2 between the Buccaneers and the Lancers will be played on Friday, April 20 at 95KGGO Arena with the puck dropping at 7:00pm. Fans can enjoy KXNO’s "Marty & Miller” who will be tailgating and doing their show live from the south lot of the arena beginning at 4:00 PM.  Fans will also enjoy “Buc Beers” in the south lot during the tailgate. Fans are also encouraged to join fellow Buccaneers fans in Blackbeard’s Lounge prior to the game for our "Season Ticket Party" from 5:00 to 6:30.
