Mission Statement of the Des Moines Buccaneers Booster Club
We are a nonprofit fan organization whose purpose is to provide support to the Des Moines Buccaneers Hockey team, a member of the United States Hockey League; its players, coaches, staff, housing families, and fans. We work with the Des Moines Buccaneers staff and fans to organize events and to promote Buccaneers Hockey.

Benefits of becoming a Buccaneer Booster Club Member:
• Monthly meeting with a guest speaker
• Social Events with Players/Coaches
• Bi-monthly Buccaneer Booster Club Newsletter
• Meet fellow Booster Club Members
• And MOST IMPORTANT……SUPPORT THE TEAM!

Here are events that we have sponsored in the past:
• A Holiday Party for players, coaches, staff, housing families, and Booster Club members, as well as a gifts for the players and coaches
• An End of the Season Brunch with awards for players, coaches, staff, housing families, and Booster Club members
• Monthly Birthday Nights - Celebrating players and coaches birthdays on a monthly basis with cake and small gifts.
• Meals for potential players during the Buccaneer Invite Camp
• Selling Buccaneer merchandise at games and other events
• Guest speakers, including coaches, players, officials and owners at our monthly meetings
• Last season, we gave away two scholarships to graduating players heading off to college

How we raised funds for the above activities:

• 50/50 Split
• Selling merchandise
• Raffling off the Volvo during the early part of the season
• Raffled off fleece blankets and autographed/game worn jerseys
