DES MOINES, IA – Buccaneers’ Forward Patrick Schmiedlin (2002) announced his commitment to Colorado College earlier today.

“I fell in love with Colorado College,” Schmiedlin said. “It’s a great fit for me and is a place I believe will develop me as person and a player.”

Schmiedlin, a product of Culver Military Academy, was tendered by the Bucs last season. He was just recently named to the NHL Central Scouting’s Preliminary Players to Watch List for the 2020 NHL Draft.

“It’s a special day for Patrick and his family,” GM Tom Mannino said. “It’s great to see his hard work and dedication being rewarded with this well-deserved college commitment. We look forward to watching him excel for the Tigers under Coach Haviland in the future.”

See Patrick and the rest of the Buccaneers live when they return to Buccaneer Arena for their next home game on Oct. 17 against the Lincoln Stars, puck drops at 6:35 pm.
