Jeff Hall Named Des Moines Buccaneers Goalie Coach
Des Moines, IA – Jeff Hall of Edina, Minnesota is the Des Moines Buccaneers new goaltending coach. Hall played goalie at Edina High School from 1995-1998 and Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota from 1998-2002.
Following his playing career, Hall has worked with Goalcrease Training and Equipment Center in Edina, Minnesota since its inception in 2002. In 2005, Hall became a Coaching Director working with hundreds of goalies of all ages. Hall runs a staff of six year-round goalie coaches who have coached several USHL, college and pro goalies come through.
Coach Hall said, "I am excited to get started with the Bucs. My goal is to help develop these young players and bring another championship to this storied program. I believe the USHL is a great opportunity for players and coaches alike. And I know Scott Owens is bringing in the right kind of people to get the job done."
Jeff began his career with the Sioux Falls Stampede as a goaltending consultant for the 2017-18 season then spent the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons as a goaltending coach. Hall coached Mikhail Berdin and Jaxson Stauber in the 2017-18 season. Berdin went on to play in the ECHL, AHL and this season will be with the Winnipeg Jets. Stauber, the 2018-19 Clark Cup MVP, played for the Stampede until the 2019-20 season and is now playing at Providence College. Alec Calvaruso and Chad Veltri were coached by Hall in the 2018-19 season. Calvaruso is playing for the AIC, a D1 program. The 2021-22 season will be Veltri’s third with Niagara University. For the 2019-20 season with the Sioux Falls Stampede Hall coached Grant Adams and Nate Reid. Adams is in his second year at St. Lawrence University. Reid is beginning his first year at Yale University this season. The Sioux Falls Stampede were Clark Cup Champions in the 2018-19 season.

He has an impressive track record for coaching and helping develop goalies of all ages. I have seen firsthand his work in the USHL while at Sioux Falls and have been impressed with his coaching abilities and work ethic. We’re excited to get him down to Des Moines to begin working with our group!”
Hall will join Matt Curley, Lennie Childs and Matt Bruneteau as the the 2021-22 coaching staff.
